A cervical colposcopy permits a better view of the genital wart or other hpv abnormalities during diagnostics or treatment procedures. When the biopsies are examined at a lab, the results will show what level of cervical dysplasia has been found. There are three levels beginning with mild dysplasia, also known as CIN I or LGSIL. The next two levels are moderate and severe, or CIN II and III or HGSIL. This is where a low-powered microscope is used to view the cervix for abnormal cells and also which determines where biopsies should be taken.
