Cervical Cryosurgery
Cervical cryosurgery is applied for abnormal cells affected with human papillomavirus, if a natural remedy and other medications don't help.
The cells that have been frozen will be discharged out of the body by a watery discharge that last about 2-4 weeks. When a Pap smear shows abnormal cells on the cervix, a common treatment is to kill the abnormal cells by freezing the area.

During this time of healing the cervix is susceptible to infection, so the patient should refrain from intercourse, douching, or wearing tampons for up to 4 weeks.
