Cryosurgery Cervical

The method of cryosurgery cervical is applied for mild cases of human papillomavirus after examining the cervix by a colposcopy exam. The procedure is relatively safe and simple: the physician uses a carbon dioxide-cooled probe (called a cryoprobe) to freeze and kill abnormal cells. This procedure together with electrocauterization and laser vaporization are the treatment of dysplasia of the cervix. Laser vaporization causes less scarring. The abnormal tissues slough off and can not be saved for pathological examination; after the procedure some scarring may be left, which makes the cervix difficult to visualize.
