Leep Pregnancy
In performing a leep, pregnancy complications may occur such as cervical incompentency as well as infection complications demonstrated by unusual vaginal discharge, or recurring HPV dysplasia.
Though it doesn’t happen very often, a women’s cervix can become incompetent after having this procedure done, which means she may have trouble conceiving or carrying a baby full-term. A female can also get cervical stenosis, which is closure of the cervix and makes it very hard to conceive.

A loop electrosurgical excision procedure should not be done when a woman is pregnant. If it is suggested that a non-pregnant woman have this procedure and she is planning to have children in the future, she should discuss the risks involved with her doctor before having the procedure done.
